9.30 am – 12.30 pm: Workshop: Build Your Own Synth Module!
Venue: Thatched Cottage, Craft Village, Magazine Street, Derry.
Cost: £20 (towards cost of materials)
This DIY workshop will provide hands on experience with building your very own modular synthesis module, which you can take home at the end.
The session will be led by John Harding Music/Creative Technologist, Lecturer at Ulster University and Electronic Engineer, with some fifteen years experience in Audio Electronics.
Participants will be guided through the process of building their very own ‘Wavefolder‘ module entitled Origami, which has been specifically designed for this conference.
No past experience is necessary, as full training, equipment and parts will be provided.

4.00–5.30 pm: Free Studio tours across the city
We’re delighted to be featuring studio tours of both North West Regional College and Celtronic Studios / Movin Music Academy.

7.00–8.00 pm: Introductory discussion / Q&A and showcase on the modular synthesiser and its place in todays musical landscape
Location: St Jude Coffee at The Yellow Yard
Time 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm (plus open 10am-5pm as normal – just in case you want to call in early)
Facilities: Tea, Coffee and Vegan Delights available from St Judes.
Come and join us for a discussion with artists from the DIY and modular synthesiser background, as they talk about how they started building, buying and or using modular synths…and why. Modular synth demonstrations will also take place throughout the discussion. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in finding out more about modular synthesisers.

Ongoing: Drop Into One of Irelands Largest Independent Records Shops!
Abbazappa Records is busting with all-sorts of of pre-loved and new vinyl, from across a wide variety of genres and periods. Not only that; the shop stocks all-sorts of turntables, tape machines, music clothing and more. It’s a crate diggers paradise!
Ben (the owner – pictured above) will be opening the shop a little later that normal, to accommodate the festival.
9.00–11.00 pm : Main Concert / Live Electronic Music Event

We are delighted to have been able to put together a fantastic lineup of artists for out main event and to showcase it in on of the City’s most interesting buildings.

Visual Artist F12 will be creating his unique style and blend of optical delights, to accompany the soundscapes of the evening.
