5.30 – 6.00 pm: Festival Opening Address (followed by a break)

The new teaching block at Magee has a cafe and social spaces for anyone needing to take a break before the second lecture starts.  You can also check out the modular synths on display throughout the building for the synthesiser performance at 7.30pm.

John will be speaking about and demonstrating his new CTRL modular interface system which aims to sever pre-existing boundaries for inter-device communication with analog synthesisers.

7.30–8.45: Mass Synthesiser Performance

Multiple artists will set up and perform modular synthesisers from various locations within the atrium space of the building. A unique chance to see and hear a group of modular synthesisers performing together in an expansive space!
